International biography
Professor, researcher and builder of linguistic futures
Samira MOUKRIM is Professor of Linguistics and Language Sciences at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez, Morocco, Head of the Department of Amazigh Language and Literature, and a researcher at DIPRALANG EA 739, Paul-Valéry University Montpellier 3, France. She holds a doctorate from the University of Orléans and the French habilitation to supervise doctoral research.
Her corpus-linguistics expertise was shaped through research on the ESLO–LCO programmes at the Laboratoire Ligérien de Linguistique in Orléans. Her work now connects corpus development for oral and under-resourced languages, Amazigh linguistics, sociolinguistics, contrastive linguistics, digital lexicography and language technologies.
